KALASIN, Thailand – The body of a prominent Thai travel influencer who died in Georgia is expected to be returned this week as authorities continue to investigate the cause of death, his family said. Neighbors and followers gathered at the family home of the content creator, known online as “Hlun Solo,” in Kalasin’s Somdet district to offer support to his relatives, particularly his grandmother. Local residents are currently preparing the venue for his funeral. The influencer’s brother posted an update stating that the Royal Thai Embassy has coordinated with Georgian authorities and an insurance firm to return the body and death certificates within the week.
Georgian local authorities have seized the deceased’s personal belongings pending the results of chemical and toxicological tests, as items in his room may serve as evidence in the investigation.
The 27-year-old travel vlogger, Bowornthat Pengsuk, known online as “Hlun Solo,” lost contact with his family on July 13 while traveling alone in Georgia. Following his disappearance, his family actively sought assistance from Thai authorities and launched public appeals to locate him. The search ended when local authorities discovered his body inside his hotel room in the capital city of Tbilisi. Georgian police confirmed there were no signs of foul play or injuries, and all belongings remained intact. Georgian authorities are currently conducting toxicological and forensic tests to determine the official cause of death. (TNA)
