BANGKOK, Thailand – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is coordinating the repatriation of the remains of Bowornthat Pengsuk, the travel content creator known as “Hlun Solo,” after authorities in Georgia confirmed his death. The cause of death remains under investigation. Jaithai Upakarnitikaset, director-general of the Department of Information and spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said officials from the Royal Thai Embassy in Ankara, Türkiye, traveled to Georgia to meet with local authorities, who confirmed Bowornthat’s death. The embassy has informed his family and will continue providing updates as additional information becomes available.
The ministry is working with the embassy and Georgian authorities to arrange the return of Bowornthat’s remains to Thailand for religious rites. The embassy also said local police confirmed that his personal belongings remained intact and that officials will continue verifying all facts related to the case. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs extended its condolences to Bowornthat’s family and asked the public to respect the family’s privacy and wishes. The Royal Thai Embassy in Ankara will remain in close contact with the family while handling the case. (NNT)
