
BANGKOK, Thailand – Minister of Tourism and Sports Artthakorn Sirilatthayakorn visited Su-ngai Kolok District in Narathiwat Province on November 8, 2025, joining Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Capt. Thamanat Prompow and senior officials as part of an official inspection trip. The delegation met residents at the multi-purpose plaza of Maharaj Stadium to listen to community concerns and discuss local development needs.
Minister Artthakorn noted that he has visited Su-ngai Kolok many times and remains impressed by the district’s welcoming community, local cuisine, and tourism potential. He encouraged Thai people nationwide to visit the area, describing Su-ngai Kolok as a destination known for great food, warm hospitality, and many places to explore.
He emphasized that four key ministries involved in improving public welfare — the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security — were present together for this visit. He said that their joint presence demonstrates the government’s commitment to responding quickly and directly to the needs of the local population.
The Minister stated that the government is prepared to work closely with community members to address challenges, provide assistance where needed, and accelerate measures that enhance the quality of life for residents. He reaffirmed that continued support will align with long-term government plans to enhance the quality of life and community well-being in Su-ngai Kolok and Narathiwat province. (NNT)
