Thai Minister Jiraporn joins ASEAN Information Ministers in Palace audience with Brunei Sultan

Representatives from ASEAN nations, China, Japan, Timor-Leste, and the ASEAN Deputy Secretary-General joined the 17th information ministers’ meeting.

BRUNEI – Thailand’s Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office Jiraporn Sindhuprai joined ASEAN information ministers in an audience with Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah at Brunei Darussalam’s Istana Nurul Iman Palace. The delegation, which included representatives from all ASEAN nations plus China, Japan, Timor-Leste, and the ASEAN Deputy Secretary-General met during the 17th ASEAN Ministers Responsible for Information Gathering.

The Sultan praised the ministers’ efforts to enhance regional communication and build public awareness while reaffirming Brunei Darussalam’s commitment to ASEAN unity. His Majesty will represent Brunei Darussalam at the upcoming 46th ASEAN Summit in Malaysia.

Thailand and Brunei Darussalam have maintained a strong relationship for 41 years at the royal, governmental, and people-to-people levels, supported by ongoing media cooperation between their respective national broadcasters. (PRD)
