
BANGKOK, Thailand – The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has announced the temporary closure of Aranyaprathet Railway Station and adjustments to train services on the Eastern Line due to the situation at the Thailand-Cambodia border.
SRT stated that clashes in the border areas of Sa Kaeo Province have intensified, prompting Aranyaprathet Municipality to order residents in the municipality and nearby areas to evacuate to designated centres, with public safety as the top priority.
To ensure passenger safety, SRT will temporarily suspend services at Aranyaprathet Railway Station and revise Eastern Line operations, effective from December 21, 2025, until further notice, as follows:
Ordinary Train No. 279 (Bangkok/Hua Lamphong – Aranyaprathet) will operate between Bangkok/Hua Lamphong and Sa Kaeo from December 22, 2025 onward.
Ordinary Train No. 280 (Aranyaprathet – Bangkok/Hua Lamphong) will operate between Sa Kaeo and Bangkok/Hua Lamphong.
Ordinary Trains No. 275/276 (Bangkok/Hua Lamphong – Aranyaprathet – Bangkok/Hua Lamphong) will operate between Bangkok/Hua Lamphong and Sa Kaeo.
SRT apologises for the inconvenience and advises passengers to plan their journeys. The SRT will closely monitor the situation, and services will resume once conditions allow.
