Six Thai films to be debuted at ‘Osaka Asian Film Festival’ Mar 1-10

The Government’s initiative commences with six films that will make their debuts at the Osaka Asian Film Festival 2024, held from 1 to 10 March, according to Paetongtarn Shinawatra, chairwoman of the National Committee on Soft Power Development.

The Government is supporting Thai films that will be showcased at various international film festivals under the project “Thai Cinema Kaleidoscope 2024.” The Government’s initiative commences with six films that will make their debuts at the Osaka Asian Film Festival 2024, held from 1 to 10 March, according to Paetongtarn Shinawatra, chairwoman of the National Committee on Soft Power Development.



The six chosen films include the following:

– Sup Pa Rer (The Undertaker), directed by Thiti Srinuan;

– Pheun (Mai) Sanit (Not Friends), by Atta Hemwadee;

– Solid by the Seashore, by Patiparn Boontarig;



– Hoon Payon, by Phontharis Chotkijsadarsopon;

– Waew Siang Fai (Blazed Away), by Supamart Boonnil;

– How We Say Goodbye, by Thanyachanok Aphisumphokul.

Besides the Osaka Asian Film Festival 2024, plans are being made to parade Thai films at other international film festivals, such as the International Film Festival Rotterdam and the Berlin International Film Festival. (PRD)
