Senate Military Committee chairwoman visits Sattahip Naval Base

The chairwoman of the Senate Military Committee received a briefing on Royal Thai Navy security operations and made charity donations at an area school and prison during a Jan. 21 visit to the Sattahip Naval Base.

Ketsanee Khaewattanal was updated on safety and security responsibilities of the Eastern Seaboard base and given information on the military police, civil affairs, cargo control, prison and welfare services under its jurisdiction.

After a history lesson about the base and a question-and-answer session, the chairwoman delivered medicine, medical supplies and sports equipment to Wiwat Polamuang School and the Special Sattahip Naval Base prison.
