Sadao border checkpoint crowded up during New Year’s festival

SONGKHLA, 28 December 2015 – A Thai-Malaysian border checkpoint in Sadao district of Songkhla province is being crowded by tourists and travelers from Malaysia and Singapore.

The tourists who travel to southern Thai provinces via Songklha include Thai people who have gone to work in Malaysia and are returning to Thailand during the New Year’s festival.

A large number of travelers are queuing up at the Sadao checkpoint where officials are strictly inspecting people and vehicles to prevent possibilities of crime, drugs trafficking and black-listed persons.

Meanwhile, Hat Yai city will organize “Night Paradise and Hat Yai Countdown” from December 31, 2015 until January 1, 2016 in downtown area.
