SURAT THANI, Thailand – A 34-year-old Russian woman was arrested by Koh Phangan Tourist Police for allegedly providing unlawful personal services to clients via an online platform, charging more than THB 10,000 per session and earning over THB 100,000 per month.

Under the command of Pol. Lt. Gen. Saksira Phueak-am, the arrest followed an investigation led by Pol. Lt. Col. Winit Boonchit, who received information about a profile named “Sofia” on Thailand.escortnews.com advertising services on Koh Phangan.

On the night of May 8, authorities conducted a coordinated sting operation with local police, immigration officers, and district officials. An undercover officer arranged a meeting, leading to the arrest of Ms. Alina, 34, at a resort in Ban Tai sub-district. Seized items included THB 11,000 in marked cash, personal items, and protective products.

Ms. Alina reportedly admitted she provided the services due to the high earnings, mainly receiving client requests between 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., and earning over THB 100,000 monthly.

She has been charged with offering services in violation of local laws and promoting such activities through online advertisements. Authorities have transferred her to Koh Phangan Police Station for legal proceedings.

Pol. Lt. Gen. Saksira has ordered strict enforcement against all forms of illegal activity by foreign nationals in tourist destinations to protect Thailand’s image and boost visitor confidence.

Suspect reportedly earned over THB 100,000 per month through high-priced private appointments.
