BANGKOK, Thailand – The Department of Business Development (DBD), under Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce, is encouraging entrepreneurs and the public to transition to its newly launched digital registration system, DBD Biz Regist, as part of a nationwide push toward digital transformation.
Introduced in January 2025, the platform already accounts for more than 54% of all business registrations. It allows users to complete the entire registration process online, anytime, including weekends and public holidays, offering greater convenience, efficiency, and cost savings.
DBD Director-General Oramon Sapthaweetham emphasized that the system was designed to reduce queues and simplify procedures. One of its key features is the flexibility for users to select their own registration date, making it particularly appealing to those who prefer to register on auspicious days.
To ensure accessibility and security, the DBD provides three identity verification methods: the DBD e-Service app, the Ministry of Interior’s THAID app, or in-person verification at designated DBD offices. Once verified, applicants receive secure login credentials to digitally sign documents, eliminating the need to repeatedly input sensitive personal data.
To assist users who may be less familiar with digital services, the DBD offers support through its headquarters, six offices across Bangkok, and branches in every province. Additional assistance is available via LINE (@dbd1570), Call Center 1570, and email ([email protected]).
In line with its digital strategy, the DBD aims to fully transition to online business registration by July 2025. The department believes widespread adoption of the DBD Biz Regist platform will not only streamline public services but also drive economic development by making it easier to start and manage businesses in Thailand.
