
PHETCHABURI, Thailand – Air Chief Marshal Satitpong Sukvimol, principal private secretary to His Majesty the King, has inspected the progress of development projects in Phetchaburi province, including work in Hub Kaphong and Huai Sai Tai in Cha-am district. The visit reviewed projects carried out under royal policy related to water resource management and local infrastructure.

The inspection was joined by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Energy Minister Auttapol Rerkpiboon, and Deputy Interior Minister Sakda Vicheansil. Senior officials from several agencies also attended, including Unsit Sampuntharat, permanent secretary of the Ministry of Interior; Raweewan Bhuridej, permanent secretary for Natural Resources and Environment; Chayanan Pakdeejit, director of the Office of the National Land Policy Board; and Chayant Muangsong, secretary-general of the Office of the National Water Resources.
The Prime Minister’s Office also took part in the visit. Permanent Secretary Yupha Taweewattanakitborvon assigned Theerapat Prayurasiddhi, special adviser on volunteer affairs and special projects, and Yongyuth Suthichuen, senior expert of the Office of the Permanent Secretary, to join officials from the Public Sector Volunteer Office in monitoring the projects.
During the field inspection, the delegation received briefings on development work at the Lam Huai Yai retention area and the Huai Sai Tai Reservoir. The projects include expanding water storage capacity and improving surrounding infrastructure to address drought conditions while supporting tourism and community activities such as walking and cycling routes. Officials said the developments are expected to strengthen water management, support long-term growth in Phetchaburi, and improve residents’ living conditions. (NNT)
