Dr. Sopon Iamsirithaworn says the Health Ministry will investigate complaints over inaccurate Mor Prom records and take action against intentional false data entry.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Ministry of Public Health has established a complaint channel for people who discover inaccurate healthcare records in the Morh Prompt application, saying every case will be investigated and anyone found to have intentionally entered false information could face disciplinary action. The decision follows complaints submitted through the Foundation for Campaigning to Restore Justice in Society, with some people alleging that medical service records displayed in the application did not match the care they received. The complaints also raised concerns that identities or healthcare benefits may have been misused and that inaccurate records could affect applications for private health insurance.

Dr. Sopon Iamsirithaworn, deputy permanent secretary for Public Health and chair of the fact-finding committee, said discrepancies caused by data entry errors will be addressed through improvements to the information system and related procedures. He added that the ministry will take disciplinary action against anyone found to have deliberately entered false information. The ministry urged anyone affected to file complaints with the Complaint Reception Center, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Public Health. (NNT)
