
JAKARTA, Indonesia – Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has taken part in a ceremony honoring Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto following their joint press conference at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta. During the ceremony, the Royal Thai Army Special Warfare Command presented the Indonesian president with the Special Recognition Insignia in appreciation of security cooperation between Thailand and Indonesia and the long-standing ties between their armed forces.
Government Spokesperson Ratchada Thanadirek said the presentation included a red beret, a combat knife with a red lanyard, airborne wings, and a commemorative medal, symbolizing the friendship between the two countries’ special operations forces. The International Counter Terrorism Operations Center (ICTOC) also presented the Indonesian president with its commemorative shield and unit wings to honor long-standing counterterrorism cooperation. The ceremony also paid tribute to Operation Woyla, carried out by Indonesia’s Kopassus Special Forces, for its role in advancing security cooperation between the two countries. (NNT)
