BANGKOK, Thailand – The Prajadhipok-Rambhai Barni Foundation, in collaboration with the Mahidol University Foundation under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, will hold a commemorative concert honouring Her Majesty Queen Rambhai Barni, Queen Consort of King Rama VII. Titled “Light of Dawn: The Resilient Queen Rambhai Barni of Siam,” the concert marks UNESCO’s recognition of Her Majesty’s contributions to education, social sustainable development and gender equality over the past 100 years.
The five-act performance will bring Her Majesty’s biography and legacy to life through an immersive Orchestra × Theatre experience, combining classical music, theatrical performance, archival film footage and rare historical images. The Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra of Mahidol University will perform, while a special exhibition of rare historical photographs will also be presented at the venue. The 90-minute concert, including an interval, will take place on 31 October 2026 at 3 p.m. at Prince Mahidol Hall, Mahidol University.
