Private sector donates consumption items to Deep South authorities

YALA, 14 Dec 2014 – The private sector and general public have donated consumption items to authorities in the southernmost provinces as a gesture of thankfulness for those on duty in the danger-prone areas.

The donated items, comprising ready-to-eat food, soap, shampoo, and medicines, were transported by train from the capital to Yala province. The items were collected by high-ranking officials from the Internal Security Operations Command which will later distribute them to security officials working in risky areas.

The donation is part of the project aimed at encouraging the general public and the private sector to show their gratefulness and appreciation to defense officials who risk their life to protect the country.

The Internal Security Operations Command thanked all the donors, saying that the donated items meant greatly to the officials there.
