BANGKOK – As Christmas is approaching, Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has sent good wishes to all Christians living in Thailand.

His comment was heard during his televised speech on the “Return Happiness to the People” program. He said Thai people always have a sense of delight due to the fact that Thailand celebrates both Thai and international traditions.

On behalf of the Royal Thai Government, he said he wishes Thai and foreign Christians good health, happiness, and fulfillment.

Christmas is not an official public holiday in Thailand with rather a small number of people celebrating the occasion. However, it is often seen that at this time of year, hotel and restaurant staff dress up in red and green while shopping centers and malls get decked out with decorations.
