CHENGDU, China – Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting Thai businesses in expanding into China and other global markets during a luncheon with private-sector executives in Chengdu, China, on July 18, 2026. The Prime Minister attended the Prime Minister-Thai Private Sector Luncheon at the Tianfu International Convention, which gathered 140 senior executives from Thai industries investing in the People’s Republic of China.
The Prime Minister stated that the primary goal of the visit is to promote bilateral trade and investment in emerging industries. He assured attendees that the administration is committed to fostering cooperation and supporting growth in both the public and private sectors, in line with good governance. He encouraged the private sector to remain confident in the government’s role as a facilitator for private investment success in China and globally.
The Prime Minister concluded his address by expressing gratitude to Thai private enterprises for their vital role in the national economy. He stressed that the government was responsible for creating opportunities, while the private sector would turn those opportunities into successes.
