
PHETCHABURI, Thailand – The 39th edition of Phra Nakhon Khiri – Mueang Phet Festival will take place from 20 February to 1 March 2026 at Phra Nakhon Khiri (Khao Wang) and King Rama IV Memorial Park, in Phetchaburi Province.
Held under the theme “Wiman Faa of Phra Nakhon Khiri: The Gem of Siam,” the festival invites visitors to wear Thai traditional attire and immerse themselves in the rich history and cultural heritage. Throughout the ten-night and ten-day celebration, it will feature spectacular light and sound presentations set against the stunning historical backdrop of Phra Nakhon Khiri. The festival aims to pay tribute to all Thai monarchs, promote tourism, and stimulate the local economy.
This year’s highlights include a nighty fireworks show with over 5,000 shots, tourism parades representing all eight districts of Phetchaburi Province during the opening ceremony on 21 February, and a khon (traditional Thai masked dance drama) performance presented by the Department of Fine Arts.
Visitors will have opportunities to experience the charm of Phetchaburi as a Gastronomy City, savoring its renowned “three-flavor” (sour, sweet, and salty) dishes prepared with premium ingredients. Chef’s Table demonstrations will showcase innovative interpretations of local specialties, alongside Phetchaburi’s signature desserts.
