BANGKOK, Thailand – A new, more convenient rail connection between Bangkok and Ayutthaya is now in service. SRT BANGKOK CONNEX, or BNEX, links Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal with Ayutthaya, offering air-conditioned comfort, easier connections with public transport, and a car-free option for commuters and weekend travellers. The service has already seen strong demand, following earlier operations on the Don Mueang to Ayutthaya route, and is expected to welcome more than 1,000 passengers per day after extending its starting point to Bangkok’s main rail hub. Special promotional fares are available from 1 August to 31 October 2026, starting from 30 Baht and up to 50 Baht for Ayutthaya.
