BANGKOK, Thailand – Thai teenager Nene Royal has advanced to the live shows of America’s Got Talent Season 21 and received a dutiful child award on Thailand’s Mother’s Day. Nene, 16, whose real name is Rattikan Amloi, was awarded the 2026 Filial Piety Award for students at an official ceremony held at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Centre on Aug. 12. Her father, Narong Amloi, posted photos on Facebook showing her receiving the honor in her student uniform. Speaking after the ceremony, Nene expressed gratitude to her parents, stating that she maintains a close relationship with her mother, whom she described as a constant source of support and inspiration.
On the same day, the talent show’s official audition page announced that Nene had successfully passed the Judges’ Callbacks round to secure a spot in the upcoming Live Shows. Video footage showed judge Howie Mandel informing her of the decision, praising her musical talents and stage presence.
Nene had gained online attention during earlier rounds with a performance of the song “Hysteria” by the rock band Muse, who subsequently shared a clip of her performance on their Instagram story.
The live quarterfinals, featuring 44 contestants divided across four weeks, are scheduled to begin on Aug. 18 in the United States, leading to the semi-finals in mid-September. The finale will take place on Sept. 22, with the winner announced on Sept. 23. (TNA)
