Nearly 600,000 visitors flock to Thailand’s national parks during 5-day Songkran holiday

Over 580,000 people visited Thailand’s national parks during Songkran 2025, generating nearly 36 million baht in revenue. Tat Ton National Park topped the list. Authorities urge travelers to prioritize safety amid seasonal weather risks.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation reported that from 12–16 April 2025, a total of 589,943 visitors explored national parks across the country, generating 35,881,305 baht in revenue.

Top 5 Most Visited Parks:

  1. Tat Ton National Park
  2. Khao Yai National Park
  3. Hat Noppharat Thara–Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park
  4. Khao Laem Ya–Mu Ko Samet National Park
  5. Khlong Lan National Park



However, 34 accidents were reported, resulting in 33 injuries and 1 fatality.

The Department urges all visitors to strictly follow safety guidelines, especially during the summer months when localized heavy rains may cause flash floods or landslides.
