NAKHON PHANOM, Thailand – Nakhon Phanom officials visited That Phanom district to provide support to the family of a local worker serving as a crew member aboard the Thai cargo vessel “Mayuree Naree,” which was involved in a recent overseas incident near the Strait of Hormuz.

Acting Maj. Adisak Noisuwan, governor of Nakhon Phanom province, led the visit together with representatives from the provincial employment office and other local officials. The delegation met with the worker’s family and provided updates on the situation.

Authorities reported that the crew member from Nakhon Phanom is safe and is receiving care from his employer overseas. Arrangements are being coordinated for his return to Thailand, with the employer expected to manage travel plans. Provincial officials said they will continue coordinating with relevant agencies and providing assistance to the family while closely monitoring developments. (NNT)
