Ministry of Commerce to push forward export and investment plans in 2016

BANGKOK – Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak has delivered action plans to promote international trade in 2016 so that the Thai economy could reach a targeted five percent growth, said Commerce Minister Abhiradee Tantraporn.

With respect to the government’s top priorities for the expansion of trade, export industry and investments, the deputy premier launched five major action plans to push forward exports and investments which could yield tangible results. Those plans include the deep penetration into major world markets for Thai export goods, the focusing on the CLMV markets and cross-border trade, the developing of e-commerce and the distributing of Thai agricultural products to the world markets.
