Under the new Civil Aviation Board rule, passengers on delayed or cancelled flights will receive improved compensation, care, and refund options—aligning Thailand’s aviation standards with global norms.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Civil Aviation Board (CAB) has issued Regulation No. 101 to enhance passenger rights protection on both domestic and international scheduled flights.

Effective 20 May 2025, the regulation introduces key measures covering:

Flight delays (2+ hrs): food, communication access & compensation
Delays over 5–10 hrs: refund options, accommodation, and tiered compensation
Cancellations or denied boarding: same entitlements as long delays
Tarmac delays: ventilation, medical access & deplaning rules
Domestic flight compensation amounts also increased

This move brings Thailand’s aviation standards closer in line with international norms.
