Kanchanaburi Governor distributes aid packages to flood victims in Dan Makham Tia District

KANCHANABURI, 10 November 2013 Mr. Chaiwat Limwantha, the Governor of Kanchanaburi Province has been to Dan Makham Tia District to receive reports on flood damage in the district. 

Accompanied by Mr. Chamrat Kangnoi and Mr. Ekkapob Chanpetch, district chief officers, Mr. Chaiwat later handed aid packages from the Kanchanaburi Red Cross Chapter to local flood victims and spoke with the flood victims to help boost morale.

Heavy rain since November 8 and water from Suan Phueng District of Ratchaburi Province have contributed to flooding in Dan Makham Tia District. Agricultural land has been damaged, and roads and bridges cut off. However, the situation is improving and assistance is being provided to affected residents.
