HRH Princess Chakri Sirindhorn leads Army cadets to hear lecture on US presidential election


Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn yesterday led a group of 33 Army cadets from the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy to visit the US Embassy in Bangkok and attend a special lecture on the US presidential election of 2016.

The National News Bureau of Thailand said the Princess and her party including both students and senior staff of the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy, were greeted at the embassy by Ambassador Glyn Davies and his wife, as well as Minister Counsellor Peter Haymond.

The cadets are in their fourth year, and all have chosen to take the ‘US History’ as an elective subject.

The special lecture given by Professor Robert Sterken, a Fulbright scholar in political science from the University of Texas, covered the background of the US presidential election and tendency of the outcome of the election in 2016.

The US presidential election of 2016 has been constitutionally prescribed to occur on Tuesday, November 8, NNT reported.
