BANGKOK, Thailand – Gulf Development Plc (GULF) has appointed Smith Banomyong as its new chief financial officer (CFO) following the resignation of Yupapin Wangviwat from her executive and board positions, effective October 26, 2026. Yupapin resigned from the company, including her position as director, CFO and other roles, citing the need to undertake other responsibilities. Smith’s appointment took effect on the same date.
The company’s board also appointed Ratthaphol Cheunsomchit, its president, as a director to replace a departing board member. Separately, GULF proposed Bung-on Suttipattanakit for appointment to the board of Advanced Info Service Plc (ADVANC), replacing Yupapin as the company’s representative. The change also took effect on October 26.
Yupapin had served as a GULF director since April 2025 and held the CFO position alongside other responsibilities, including participation in the company’s sustainability, governance and risk management committee. The changes affect GULF’s financial leadership and board composition, as well as its representation at ADVANC, in which GULF holds an investment.
