PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya municipal enforcement officers have taken action against a crane operator who placed the vehicle’s stabilizing legs on the pedestrian pavement along Pattaya Third Road. Officers issued an arrest record and referred the case for a fine at the Pattaya Municipal Enforcement Centre.
The city said placing heavy crane stabilizers on pavements can crack or damage the surface, cause subsidence and potentially harm the underlying structure. The equipment can also obstruct pedestrians and create safety hazards for people passing by. Residents who encounter similar obstructions on public pavements can report them to Pattaya City Hall’s 1337 city hotline.
