NARATHIWAT, Thailand – Fourth Army Area Commander Lt. Gen. Norathip Poinok visited Ranger Task Force 45 on July 30 to review security operations and meet with personnel serving in Thailand’s southern border provinces. He also received updates on the unit’s operations and the challenges facing frontline officers. Lt. Gen. Norathip encouraged personnel and thanked them for carrying out their duties under the ongoing security situation. He instructed officers to perform their responsibilities in accordance with the law while upholding professional standards and respecting human rights.
The army area chief said public confidence depends on security operations being carried out fairly, transparently, and responsibly, while maintaining good relations between officials and local communities. Lt. Gen. Norathip added that cooperation between authorities and residents remains essential to maintaining peace and stability in the region. The Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) Region 4 Forward Command said the visit underscored efforts to support frontline personnel while ensuring operations are conducted in accordance with legal requirements, recognized human rights standards, and good governance.
