
PHUKET, Thailand – Authorities have arrested five people following a late-night disturbance involving Thai and foreign nationals in the Midtown Walking Street area along Ratsada Road, Talat Yai subdistrict, Phuket province.
Mueng Phuket Provincial Police Station responded after videos of the incident circulated on social media. Patrol units brought the situation under control and detained the five individuals for questioning. The investigation is ongoing.
Local officials, led by Governor Nirat Pongsitthaworn, said the city continues to provide safety and impose security measures in key tourism areas to maintain order and public confidence. They also made clear that Thai law will be enforced fairly and consistently for both residents and international tourists. (NNT)
