BANGKOK, Thailand – A fire erupted at the well-known Route66 Bangkok venue in the RCA area, causing panic as people quickly evacuated. Firefighters managed to contain the blaze within 30 minutes.

The incident occurred at 5:11 PM on Monday (Oct 6) at the Route66 Bangkok building on Soi Soonwijai-Praram 9, RCA, Rama 9 Road, Huai Khwang District. The affected structure is a single-story building used for storage, including water tanks, paint, and decorative materials for the venue.

Officials confirmed that no one was trapped inside. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Authorities noted that traffic was temporarily affected on Rama 9 and Phetchaburi roads during the incident.

Pol. Col. Uramphon Khundechsamrit, Chief of Makkasan Police Station, noted that the fire did not affect the main entertainment area, as the burned storage building is separate from the venue’s main structure. (TNA)
