Delegation visit to the southern border provinces under theme ‘Uplift the People’s Quality of Life’

The event was co-organized by the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Centre (SBPAC) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during 11-13 June 2024 in Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat provinces.

The diplomatic corps from 8 OIC countries, namely, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam, Egypt, and Iran to Thailand, as well as Chargé d’Affaires, Deputies Chief of Mission, and diplomatic officers from Indonesia, Malaysia, Maldives, Nigeria, and Uzbekistan, alongside Ambassadors of Thailand to Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, UAE, and Türkiye, including Ministry of Foreign Affairs executives, visited the southern border provinces under the project Ambassadors’ Visit to the Southern Border Provinces of Thailand 2024, themed “Uplift the People’s Quality of Life,” which was co-organized by the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Centre (SBPAC) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during 11-13 June 2024 in Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat provinces.



The Governor of Pattani Province welcomed the delegation at the C.S. Pattani hotel and talked about the multicultural society of Pattani province, especially how culturally diversed people live together peacefully. The SBPAC Secretary-General, and executives of security and public sectors were also in attendance. Afterwards, the Governor of Pattani Province led the delegation around the exhibition on the Royal fabric design of “Chaba Pattani,” a showcase of local products, and the hotel’s collections of Yan Lipao Basketry and Gold Nielloware.



In this occasion, the delegation visited the Pattani Central Mosque and was greeted with Mueang Pattani District Chief, Mayor of Mueang Pattani Municipality, Imam of Pattani Central Mosque, and members of Governmental Departments. Later, the delegation also visited the Yaring Batik Community Enterprise Group in the Yaring District and participated in Batik painting activities. (MFA)
