BANGKOK, Thailand – Defense Minister Gen. Nattapon Nakpanich confirmed that Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul will personally sign the Thailand–Cambodia peace or bilateral relations declaration in Malaysia, as originally scheduled.
Speaking before a special Cabinet meeting at Government House — convened following the announcement of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother’s passing — Gen. Nattapon said the agreement remains on course under the Prime Minister’s direction.
“I believe the process will proceed,” he stated. “However, this matter is under the authority of the Prime Minister, who will attend the ASEAN Summit.”
When asked whether the Prime Minister would still travel to Malaysia to sign the agreement himself, Gen. Nattapon replied, “Yes.” (TNA)
