Chinese Ambassador to Thailand pays a courtesy call on Deputy PM

BANGKOK, 25 September 2015  – Ambassador of the People’s Republic China to Thailand Ning Fukui paid a courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister Prajin Juntong at the Government House this morning to discuss various topics including Thai-Chinese railway cooperation.

Air Chief Marshal Prajin expressed his satisfaction over the Thailand-China joint meeting on the railway construction which was conducted smoothly with considerable progress.

He said the Thai government considered the joint project very important as it would benefit economic and social development in both countries.

Mr. Ning Fukui said on his part that despite some unagreeable points, he believed the two sides would be able to overcome the hurdles with their sincerity and determination to fulfil the project.

The two sides also discussed educational cooperation in which both expressed interest to raise the level of cooperation in the field. ACM Prajin thanked the Chinese government for sending volunteers to teach Chinese language in Thailand.

The Chinese ambassador realized that the Thai government has had a policy to promote researches in renewable and alternative energy. He thus committed to encourage high-standard Chinese-based companies and state enterprises to invest in Thailand’s energy sector.
