BANGKOK, Thailand – Thailand marked another milestone in its tourism revival with the grand opening of the “Amazing Thailand Mid-Autumn Night 2025” event, held at One Bangkok on October 6. The event also serves as a highlight in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Thailand–China diplomatic relations, reinforcing the deep cultural and tourism ties between the two nations.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Minister of Tourism and Sports Artthakorn Sirilatthayakorn. He affirmed that Thailand stands ready to welcome Chinese visitors, emphasizing the strong cooperation between public and private sectors in ensuring safety, service excellence, and world-class travel experiences in line with the Smart & Sustainable Tourism approach. He noted that the ministry continues to implement the “Big Impact, Act Fast” strategy to accelerate the recovery of the Chinese market — a crucial pillar of Thailand’s tourism economy.

The Amazing Thailand Mid-Autumn Night 2025 event features collaborative marketing initiatives with Chinese partners aimed at strengthening people-to-people connections through cultural exchange and shared tourism experiences. As part of the campaign, 100 Chinese digital creators and influencers — including 50 participants selected from the “Thailand, Told by You – UGC Challenge & FAM Trip” and 50 mega influencers — are exploring Thailand’s leading destinations to create authentic travel content under the theme “5 Must Do in Thailand”:

Their journey covers Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Pattaya (Chonburi), Phuket, and Surat Thani (Koh Samui) from October 5 to 10, 2025, showcasing Thailand’s diverse tourism experiences to Chinese audiences and highlighting the nation’s unique blend of hospitality, creativity, and cultural vibrancy.

The Amazing Thailand Mid-Autumn Night 2025 event aims to encourage travel among Chinese tourists during the Golden Week holiday and Mid-Autumn Festival, extending momentum into the year-end tourism season and Chinese New Year. The initiative complements the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s (TAT) “Nihao Month” campaign, which seeks to attract travel interest from Chinese visitors and strengthen Thailand’s image as a destination of culture, friendship, and meaningful experiences.
