Bangkok residents move through hot and humid 34°C weather as clouds gather over the capital, with forecasters warning of afternoon rain and possible thunderstorms across parts of the city this weekend.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Bangkok residents faced hot and humid conditions on Saturday as temperatures climbed to around 34°C, with rain expected to develop across parts of the capital later in the day. While the city remained warm under mostly cloudy skies, weather forecasts indicated a continued chance of afternoon and evening showers as Thailand’s rainy season gradually strengthens. Forecasters have also warned that humidity levels could make conditions feel significantly hotter, particularly for those working outdoors or commuting during peak daytime hours.

The combination of heat and intermittent rainfall has become a familiar pattern across Bangkok in recent weeks, with residents alternating between intense sunshine and sudden downpours. Motorcyclists, street vendors, delivery riders, and outdoor workers remain among the groups most affected by the changing weather conditions. Authorities continue to advise the public to stay hydrated, monitor weather updates, and prepare for localized flooding in low-lying areas if heavy rain develops during the weekend.  Despite the unsettled conditions, Bangkok’s streets, shopping districts, and transport networks remained busy as locals and tourists moved through the city under overcast skies and lingering heat.
