Under the leadership of Commissioner-General Pol Gen Torsak Sukwimol, police units across the nation have been instructed to collaborate closely with relevant agencies to implement preventive and relief measures.

In response to the escalating flood crisis affecting multiple provinces, the Royal Thai Police (RTP) has activated a high-priority directive aimed at coordinating a comprehensive response effort. Under the leadership of Commissioner-General Pol Gen Torsak Sukwimol, police units across the nation have been instructed to collaborate closely with relevant agencies to implement preventive and relief measures.

The primary objectives of this directive are twofold: first, to alleviate the suffering of the public in the face of this natural disaster, and second, to prevent criminal activities seeking to exploit the flood situation. To achieve these goals, the police are actively engaging with local authorities to prevent theft of property and agricultural equipment. This collaborative effort seeks to ensure that flood victims are not further burdened by criminal activities during this challenging time.

Additionally, plans are in motion to establish checkpoints, particularly in areas where personal belongings and vehicles are temporarily stored on higher ground or along roadsides, to deter potential incidents.

In a parallel endeavor, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment is fully mobilized to provide emergency assistance. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Pol. Gen. Patcharawat Wongsuwon, has tasked all units under his ministry with immediate relief activities. Permanent Secretary for Natural Resources and Environment, Jatuporn Buruspat, is overseeing the situation closely, and a joint operation center is being set up to ensure the effective coordination and command of relief efforts.

Furthermore, both the Royal Thai Police and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment are prepared to deploy additional resources, including manpower, equipment, and vehicles, to assist with possible evacuations and to assess damages to residences, police stations, and accommodations affected by the flood crisis. These coordinated efforts underscore the commitment of the Thai government to safeguarding the well-being of its citizens during times of adversity. (NNT)
