PHUKET, Thailand – Phuket is preparing to receive two US Navy warships carrying more than 5,000 personnel during a port visit from October 5–10, 2026. Patong Police Station officials met with Lou Pham and Robert Robinson, Deputy Assistant Defense Attaché at the US Embassy in Thailand, to discuss preparations for the ships’ arrival at Phuket Deep Sea Port.
The visiting vessels are the USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77), carrying approximately 4,800 personnel, and the USS Delbert D. Black (DDG-119), carrying about 320 personnel. Officials discussed coordination and cooperation during the visit and established a Line group to facilitate faster and more efficient communication between the relevant agencies. Thai officials also reminded the US Navy personnel to comply with Thai laws and regulations during their stay in Phuket.
