A commercial truck driver was killed when he slammed his 18-wheeler into another heavy truck parked on the side of the Kratinglai-Rayong Highway Wednesday.
Ekachai Cholmak, 44, was crushed by the impact with the 18-wheel truck on the side of Highway 38. The driver of that vehicle, 41-year-old Pongrat Intamolee, was outside his truck examining its brakes and suffered only minor cuts as he scrambled to avoid the collision.
Police speculate the dead Bangkok man fell asleep behind the wheel.
