Monday, June 24, The Emerald – Stableford

It was ‘pick and place’ here today on the fairways only and with two divisions out the cut was 12-18 and 19+.

Thirty-four points was the highest score of the day, with Ian Speirs posting that to win division 1 ahead of Marc Brunner in second on 33 and Les Smith third with 31.

Hanke Manfred topped division 2 with 29 points, Gary Dalton was second one point behind and John Doyle beat Alan Bissell on a 16/15 back-nine countback for third after both scored 26 points.

Near pins went to (Div 1) Marc Brunner, Les Smith and Ian Speirs, and (Div 2) John Doyle, Bruce Gardner and Hanke Manfred.

Wednesday, June 26, Treasure Hill – Stableford

Only one division out and we were playing off the white tees at 6400 yards. John Doyle and John Carlin jointly recorded the best score of the day, 31 points, but the former took the honours with a better back-nine on his card. Gary Dalton beat Paul Young on countback for third place after two scores of 26 came in.

Bruce Gardner claimed the only near pin of the day and there were no 2s recorded.

Friday, June 28, Eastern Star – Stableford

Five groups out today with the identical cut as of Monday and with 37 points the best score of the day came from Nik Evans to win division 1. Paul Butler was second one point behind and Frank Kelly took third on 35.

Ron Lavett with 36 points won division 2, Tony Thorne was second on 32 and in third place with a meagre 25 Glyn Evans beat Hanke Manfred on a 14/10 back-nine countback.

Nik Evans, Paul Butler, Colin Aspinall and Ron Lavett claimed near pin awards and once again there were no 2s.
