PSC Golf from Mulligans Lakeside

Tuesday, Jan. 8, Plutaluang – Stableford

Tuesday was a visit down to Sattahip, playing the Plutaluang course North & West combination.  All who played thought the course was in good nick & weather conditions were favourable, so an enjoyable day was had.

Some of our regulars were away at the PSC Club Championships, but their spots were filled by a few new players.  K, full name Kurt Erik Persson, at over 80 years of age, has recently gone to the silver tees and is back enjoying his golf and picking up some placings.  Today, playing off 26, he managed 37 points to hold off Jonathan Pratt (18) on count back, while a shot further back in third was Phill Waite (13).

With the extra numbers, we went to fourth spot today and that went to Brian Maddox (21) with 35 points, an early birthday present and Many Happy Returns for Thursday.

Near pins were spread around between Noy, Neil, Jonathan & Frans.

Thursday, Jan. 10, Greenwood – Stableford

Thursday was a trip to Greenwood, with the A & B our allotted combination.  The course was in good condition, although a few greens on B had been recently hollow tyned, making them a bit slower and bumpier than others.

In first place today was Owen Walkley (11) with a well compiled 38 points while Phill Waite (13), who is showing some consistent form, took second spot on 37 points.  Low spot on the podium went to Jeff Wylie (6) who finished with 36 points.

Near pins were a bit difficult to attain today, with Phill grabbing 2 & the remainder going to the Banglamung Boy’s Home donations.

A quick round up of Mulligans Lakeside’s PSC Club C/ship representatives would probably show a modest return, but could easily have been better.  Clive Hoseason and Jim Federspiel, both playing in C Flight, had 1 good day coupled with an average day to just miss overall prizes.  Joel Flor scored the D Flight Long Drive & a Near Pin, while Jeff Wylie hung on for third place in the A Flight net.

Note:  Mulligans Lakeside plays golf generally on Tuesday & Thursday, with ML hosting prompt presentations on both days.  As a PSC affiliated venue we welcome ALL golfers, including ladies & seniors who have opted for the “Silver” tee option.  Call 089 094 1841 for scheduling or enquiries.  Hope to see you there, cheers & good golfing!
