Monday, Dec. 9, Green Valley – Stableford
On Monday at Green Valley an American friend, Gentry Harrington (H/cap 11), played a great round and beat Clive Bruce (9) on count back with 40 points. Third place went to Bill Shepley (6) also on count back from Ed Horrocks (21), both with 38 points, while in fifth was Brian Orr (16) with 35.
Wednesday, Dec. 11, Pattaya C.C. – Stableford
Wednesday we played the re-furbished Pattaya Country Club and were not too impressed with the condition of the course. The greens now have more undulations and were in pretty good condition but a lot of work is still required to the fairways if they want to attract bigger crowds.
Don Hachey (18) took the honours with 39 points from Rick Culley (12) in second with 37 points.
Friday, Dec. 13, Green Valley – Stableford
Friday was back to Green Valley and Phonsie McGahan (6) showed his youth with a win with 37 points. Mel Davis (18) took second with 36 and Don Hachey (18) beat Ed Horrocks on count back for third, both with 35.
