PATTAYA, Thailand – It was another lively week for the Millionaire Golfers, beginning with a Monday round at Eastern Star on June 16. The weather was superb and the course in fine condition, though the greens were reported a touch on the slow side. Play moved along briskly, with the lead group wrapping up by 2:15 p.m.
Despite continued struggles with numbers due to illness, injury, and absenteeism—compounded by stubbornly poor exchange rates—spirits remained high on the fairways.
Rob Folland overcame four wipes to claim first place with 34 points. The ever-consistent Steve Downes followed close behind on 32, and Tony Robbins rounded out the podium with 30. Near pins went to Dominique Pujol and Steve Downes, who picked up two.
It was also a pleasure to welcome back John Webb for another month of golf (and perhaps a touch of sailing, too).
Results:
1st: Rob Folland (15) – 34 pts.
2nd: Steve Downes (7) – 32 pts.
3rd: Tony Robbins (24) – 30 pts.
Near Pins: Dominique Pujol, Steve Downes ×2
Plutaluang was the destination on Wednesday, June 18, with a refreshing change of layout from the usual North & West nines. The decision proved popular—scores were high, and feedback was overwhelmingly positive. The course was well-grassed with decent greens, and there’s now a push to include both 18s on the monthly rotation.
Rob Folland made it two wins in a row, carding a superb 41 points. Steve Downes once again applied pressure, finishing with 38, while Witt Mann edged Alan Sullivan on countback with 36. Newcomers Darren Tumai and J.M. Colomar got among the near pins, with Steve again collecting two.

We closed the week on Friday, June 20 at Pattaya Country Club, a regular favorite due to its proximity to town. Conditions were fair—playable but not perfect—with greens described as slow and bumpy.
In a rare Bunker appearance, Craig Dows topped the leaderboard with 38 points, edging out a strong-finishing Rob Folland (36), who capped off a stellar week. Frank Dartford recorded his first podium with 34 points—likely the first of many. Craig also dominated the near pin contest with three wins, with one going unclaimed.

As the Golfer of the Month contest heads into its final stretch, it’s shaping up as a tight race between Steve Downes and Rob Folland. Back at the Bunker, a round of farewell drinks marked Dominique Pujol’s departure after a swift but memorable two-week stay.
