PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya City is continuing its campaign to organize beachfront areas by enforcing parking regulations and cracking down on the misuse of public parking spaces for private benefit. Pattaya municipal officers, working together with police and related agencies, are carrying out inspections along Pattaya Beach to ensure motorists follow designated parking rules and that public areas remain available for residents and tourists.
Officials emphasized that motorists must understand the difference between curb markings. Yellow-white curb areas allow vehicles to briefly stop for passenger pick-up or drop-off, but parking is not permitted. Meanwhile, red-white curb areas are strict no-stop zones, meaning vehicles are not allowed to stop or park at any time. Authorities are also targeting individuals who use public parking spaces for commercial purposes, including renting out spaces, reserving spots, or occupying public areas for personal benefit without permission.
The enforcement campaign aims to improve traffic flow, increase safety, and ensure fair access to public beachfront areas for everyone using Pattaya Beach. Officials warned that vehicles violating parking regulations may face fines under the law, while those found occupying public spaces for unauthorized business activities could face further legal action.
