A Chinese-American man drowned while snorkeling in Sattahip Bay.
Navy divers took about an hour to locate the body of Tony Hsiao-chiu Chu, 55, about 100 meters from Koh Chuang June 2.
Chu’s wife, Jinrui Ma, 43, said the couple had rented a boat at the Ocean Marina Yacht Club with plans to sail and do some snorkeling.
However, Chu apparently didn’t realize the area he anchored was prone to strong currents. After he was gone a while his wife began to worry and called rescue services.
