PATTAYA, Thailand – Members of the Thai Hotels Association Eastern Chapter have voted Dr. Watcharapong Khunpluem as the organization’s new president during its 10th general meeting held in Pattaya on March 12.

The meeting took place at the Mediterranean Meeting Room of The Zign Pool Villa Pattaya, bringing together hotel operators from across eastern Thailand, along with representatives from government agencies, tourism organizations, and private sector partners.

The session was officially opened by Poramet Ngampichet, who also served as a witness to the election process. Members reviewed the association’s performance over the past year and discussed strategies to strengthen the region’s hospitality sector.

Following the vote, Dr. Watcharapong was unanimously selected to lead the Thai Hotels Association Eastern Chapter for the upcoming term. In his new role, he is expected to work with hotel operators and tourism partners to further develop and promote the hospitality industry across the eastern region.

Mayor Poramet congratulated the new president and the incoming committee, highlighting the importance of cooperation between the public and private sectors in supporting sustainable tourism growth in Pattaya and beyond.
