Washington, D.C. – The Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, D.C. hosted the “Sawasdee DC Thai Festival 2026” at the National Mall on September 19, 2026, to showcase Thailand’s cultural heritage and soft power. Presided over by Thai Ambassador to the United States Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, the event drew thousands of American residents, diplomats, and international tourists. The festival featured an extensive program designed to project Thai culture onto the global stage, with Master of Ceremonies Sai Somboon leading the day’s events with enthusiasm and professionalism.
The event featured a range of immersive experiences, including traditional and contemporary Thai dance, live classical music, and Muay Thai demonstrations.
