Pattaya’s newest shopping mall, Terminal 21, opened to huge fanfare and crowds Oct. 19.
Prasert Sriuslarnpoing, Managing Director of LH Mall & Hotel Co., opened the 33-rai retail mall and hotel site off North Road with tens of thousands of eager shoppers and lookie-loos waiting to get their first peak at the 6-billion-baht boutique mall. Traffic outside the mall quickly gridlocked.
Terminal 21 is an upgraded copy of the landmark mall in the heart of Bangkok’s business district. Unique features include a 250-meter-long plane and a scale model of the Eifel tower on the ground floor.
Each floor represents a popular world destination, including Rome, Tokyo, San Francisco, London and more. The mall features 180,000 sq. meters of retail space and a Grand Centerpoint Hotel with 400 rooms and parking for 1,500 vehicles.
Singer Earth Patravee provided the entertainment while Prasert took reporters on a tour.
First stop was the SFX Cinema designed with an art deco theme highlighted by LED lighting. SFX features luxury and lounge seating offering food and beverages. The box office is located on the third floor with screens one level up.
Next on the third floor were many famous restaurants including Pan Pan, Pattaya’s original Italian restaurant that opened its first branch 43 years ago.
Pan Pan makes its pasta daily and pizzas are baked in a coal-fired oven using the chef’s original recipe and crunchy crust.
On the first floor, Central Marketing Group Co. launched skin-care products branded THREE from Japan with top Pattaya officials and business leaders trying them out.
