PATTAYA, Thailand – A routine patrol by Pattaya police led to the arrest of a 48-year-old man after officers discovered a Glock handgun and ammunition hidden inside a suspicious vehicle on Pattaya South Road. The incident happened at around 9 p.m. on August 3, when officers from Pattaya City Police Station were conducting a security patrol and noticed a car allegedly moving erratically in front of a business on South Pattaya Road.
Police stopped the vehicle for inspection and followed legal procedures before searching the car. Inside a brown shoulder bag placed on the passenger seat, officers found a Glock semi-automatic pistol, 9mm calibre, along with five rounds of ammunition and a black fabric gun holster. The driver, identified as Adirek, 48, was taken into custody and the weapon was seized as evidence.
He was charged with possessing a registered firearm belonging to another person without legal authorization, and carrying a firearm in a public area without permission or a valid emergency reason. Police transferred the suspect and seized items to investigators at Pattaya City Police Station for further legal proceedings and to investigate the ownership and background of the firearm.
