SISAKET, Thailand – Police are investigating a tragic incident in Uthumphon Phisai district after a 27-year-old mother and her 2-year-old daughter were found dead inside their home late on July 18. Police from Uthumphon Phisai Police Station were notified at around 11:05 p.m. and arrived at the single-storey concrete house in Sra Kamphaeng Yai subdistrict with medical personnel and rescue workers. Authorities found Ms. Wipada, 27, inside the bedroom, while her 2-year-old daughter was found nearby. Initial checks found no signs of a struggle inside the home, and police secured the area while gathering evidence. The incident was discovered after relatives became concerned when they could not contact the family. A relative said the house had remained unusually quiet, prompting family members to check inside before contacting authorities.
Police found a handwritten note at the scene believed to have been written by the mother. The message expressed emotional distress, feelings of exhaustion and unhappiness, and included concerns about her family situation. The note also referred to her husband’s behavior and her request for family members to look after her mother and continue caring for the home. Relatives said the mother had also left 3,527 baht in cash for her mother. They described her as a quiet person who mostly stayed home caring for her young daughter, although she occasionally spent time with family members. The woman’s aunt said the family believed she may have been struggling with relationship problems. She said the mother had previously mentioned concerns about her husband spending time with friends, but the exact circumstances remain unclear.
Another relative said the family had spoken with her earlier in the day and she appeared normal, making the incident unexpected. He added that the family only became concerned after she stopped responding and the room remained locked for several hours. Police and medical officials conducted an examination at the scene before sending the bodies for further forensic examination to determine the causes of death. Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing and officers are continuing to collect evidence and question relatives to establish the full circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
